If you dont want to waste time with people playing terrible builds, etc ...
Go to TA!
Its that simple really. When you enter RA you know you are going ot meet low of the lowest, so you should not expcet or demant right to get good team there.

Rofl at the whining.
Oh, and to all the 55-griefers, the touch rangers/angodoron mesmers/nightmare weapon spikers/people with an enchant removal will thank you for the free wins. Problem solved; bring enchant removal/life steal.

GW Asbo ftw.
I like this update, I think once we get past the initial childish misuse of the /report command it'll work a charm.

For you to think about.
1. A team comprises a group of people linked in a common purpose and that includes the 'noobs'.
2. My 'Feelings' about leavers and leechers are pretty much in accord with A-nets. Dishonor will help PvP by bringing in some control.
3. FYI. I don't leave PvP matches (selfishly) because I 'think' my team mates are not as 'uber' as me.
Maybe you should stop posting 'please feel sorry for me, I haven’t played for 2years, No guild wants me, Bleugh' and think about how you play GW.

Actually you have to think about how you play gw, i never said i leave everytime i dont like the team, i rarely rage and thats only when there is not possibility of wining, but i do hate that i HAVE to be forced to stay in a 100% waste of time team.
Control in pvp you get in gvg and ha, you dont need control in RANDOM arena dude, not everything you do in a game has to be controled by anet or some whiners with the /report power.
Nuff said on this subject no point in arguing with a "mature" player like yourself.

Looks to me like the feature is working as intended. Don't play games with others humans when "dinner is coming around" because you let them all down when you leave. Or, just finish the match and go eat your dinner cold.

A good step in promoting socialization between players :P

True.
A.net hasn't considered that a vast majority of players are 10 years old kids, and they gave a gun in their hands.
- I play 99.9% PvE and with my friends/ guildies.
- Now that I know that there are around tons of idiot kids armed by A.net with the /report gun, which they can use as their idiot brains like, I will play 100% PvE and avoid at all cost to invite unknown people in my team.
- And also will try to avoid crowded districts. Especially with my monk, considering the idiots and the even more idiots "anti-bot crusaders", that will report every monk as soon as they see one going alone outside an outpost.
A good step taken by A.net to improve socialization between players in game.
Guildies or h/h parties FTW.
Just a side note: wouldn't it now be high time to fix Cantha GMC title, which requires you to explore JQ and FA to get it?
I've done with 2 characters so far, and as a cartographer, I actually didn't take part to the battle, just put together some running skills and hugged the walls.
Now, not only I need to wait hours hoping that a battle starts, but I also run the risk to be reported as a leecher, and because of something I couldn't care less like a useless JQ battle (something that would leave me totally indifferent if it was completely removed from the game).

You're probably right about JQ, except that you dont NEED it to get 100%, thats been proved.
also, i finally got into JQ last night and EVERYONE was hugging the walls to map it, we all just agreed at the start that that was what the match was going to be, then we joined in the middle and danced. twas fun.
apart from the occasional death due to an over zealous warrior.
So i dont think you need to worry about getting reported if thats all you're there to do.
I will be a little worried about people abusing the feature and reporting anyone who looks at them funny. It wont stop me playing PvP.

Don't play if you eat. Don't begin a match if you have to do something. You're not alone. People are playing too. You deserved this. If you have something like a dinner or whatever, do PVE. Oh, meanie A-net prevented you to piss off gameplay of 11 other people for one hour, because you already pissed off 11*2= 22 people already. My bad.

What's good about this report system is that it is left into the hands of the community. Report if you want to, don't if you don't want to. Simple.

THE UPDATE WORKING IT'S BEST:
A friend was just reported by a group of people because he was playing his monk at the temple of ages, notorious for it's bots. The groups reasoning? He wasnt in a guild as most bots don't appear with guild tags.
great work Anet.

I'm glad Anet didn't make the HoS runs totally impossible, just a little harder. I believe they gave Magmar more HP as well since it takes a little longer to kill him. I really did like that Anet listened to one of my suggestions in a previous thread about rezing the entire party after completing a dungeon (although, I didn't see that posted in the update). It made me happy. :P

So he got reported....what happened? Anet banned him?
If after Anet looks at the report and sees nothing wrong, but bans your friend anyway, then theres something wrong.

Reporting leechers = awesome
Dishonor system = awesome
Reporting people for later review for questionable names and/or bot activity = why are we doing this?
Botters give Anet better business, it's not like they really care if we report them.

QFT...
RA was intended for people who are new to PvP, not so called "veterans." It's a place to cut your teeth or maybe try out a new build At least now we know who a bunch of the leavers are now. Cheers to Anet!

Random Arena is for random people, playing random builds. It is the nature of the arena that sometimes you will get teams that are less than optimal.
Of course you are expected to continue playing the match you signed up for even if you know you cannot win. This is the chance you take when you enter into Random Arenas. If you don't like bad teams and don't want to take the risk, don't play there anymore.
Also, if you know it is around dinner time, and you know Mommy is busy cooking for you, DON'T ENTER INTO A PVP MATCH. When you enter into a PvP match, a PvE dungeon/mission, you are pretty much stating that you intended to finish said match/dungeon and/or mission.
If all of these things don't make sense to you, then you are the reason /report is being implemented. You have nobody to blame but yourself for not being able to play. And lets face facts, 10 minutes is not a long time. And if you cannot behave for 60 minutes, then you deserve to not be playing for awhile.
GG Anet. TYVM TIMEOUTS FTW!

The questionable names thing annoys me too. My mesmer R A C C O O N has had a few people tell me my name is apparently racist. I'm Australian so I have no idea if this means anything to anyone else.
But my mesmer is my main, in full obsidian, has all the titles etc. No way I'm deleting it because someone thinks the name is offensive. I chose the name Raccoon because mesmers wear masks and Raccoons have the mask pattern on their eyes.

the last 4 letters of your name is a racist term in some places (Britain etc), I guess its in no way your fault, and you didnt know.
I guess its up to Anet how they proceed with these kind of issues, as you clearly dont mean it in the manner in which the reporters think you do.

The time-outs encourage griefers to sync with one damage dealer and 3 prot/healers. All they have to do is make one kill and they just heal away for the remainder of the match.
